    Microsoft Word 2007
The following PDF files include resources for creating accessible content in Word 2007. For maximum accessibility, consider saving the file in PDF format, where headings, captions, and alt-tags will be preserved. If you are a more experienced designer, you may choose to copy and paste word processing content into an HTML editor as plain text and format the headings, captions, and alt-tags in the editor. Check out Useful Websites and Downloads for more information about free HTML editors and the General Tips section for, well, general tips--ha!

In short, it's the right thing to do. Accessible design benefits all users, regardless of ability. Accessible design also addresses the needs of people with different learning styles. Finally, accessible design benefits web designers and content creators as it refocuses attention on how information is consumed and used. Just do it!
